HOW TO BOOK
Contact
You are warmly welcome to contact Upplev Sydafrika for more information about our travel proposals and experiences in Southern Africa. We are happy to assist you in planning your trip based on your wishes and preferences.
Travel Proposal and Cost Estimateice
We will prepare a personalized travel proposal and cost estimate based on your requests and send this to you for review.
Flights and Car Rental / Transport
If you would like assistance with flight bookings, we collaborate with Rex Travel. Please contact us and we will gladly provide contact details and further information.
A useful tip is to fly overnight with a stopover, regardless of airline. This allows you to save a travel day and usually arrive early in the morning or late morning the following day (same time zone during summer, +1 hour during winter).
Many airlines also offer the “multi-stop” option, which allows you to fly into, for example, Cape Town and return from Johannesburg (or vice versa). We recommend booking flights well in advance to secure the best availability and pricing.
Enjoy the freedom and flexibility of traveling at your own pace — we are happy to assist you with car rental arrangements. If you prefer transfers or private transport instead of a rental car, we can of course arrange this as well.
Deposit
Once you have approved the travel proposal and cost estimate, Upplev Sydafrika AB will request a deposit. The deposit guarantees and secures your booking and usually amounts to 20–50% of the total cost. The exact amount will be communicated at the time of booking.
Final payment
The final payment must be received by Upplev Sydafrika no later than 40 days prior to the travel start date. Please note that bookings during peak season (December/January) may require earlier final payment and have stricter cancellation policies. We will always inform you of this at the time of booking.
Before Your Trip
Your personal travel itinerary/webpage will be continuously updated with all relevant information prior to departure, including your itinerary, accommodation details, directions, and activity suggestions. We are also happy to share our best recommendations for excellent restaurants and outstanding wineries to make your trip as memorable as possible.

You can travel to South Africa all year round, but we recommend going September to May

To ponder before travelling:
The so-called “peak season” in December / January is very popular indeed and requires booking of accommodation, safaris, activities and restaurants well in advance.
